Then, we drove out to Boston, as I had never been there before, and spent 4 days seeing the sights and having a mini-vacation! We stayed at the Marriott at Long Warf which was fantastic! Sunday we saw Boston Commons and other monuments along the infamous Freedom Trail. We ate at this fabulous place called the Chart House right on the harbor for lunch and Restorante Lemoncello for dinner! SO GOOD!
Monday, I turned 26 years old. Birthday in Boston, what could be better!?! Well, we took a ferry out to Province town Cape Cod, on which we both got sea sick! The seas were so rough! So we got to P-town and took a walk, drank some water and then ate at the Lobster Pot, another fabulous sea food restaruant. Since we were not getting back on a boat, we ending up taking a bus to get back to Boston and it took about 5 hours! Definitely an adventure we won't forget!
Tuesday, we went to the original Cheers bar, had lunch and beers, then went back to the hotel and got ready for the Red Sox game! We got great seats months ago, that were expensive, and totally worth it! We were right on the first base line, on the 6th row! We ate Fenway Franks, drank Sam Adams and had a great time! AND, they hit a grand slam and another homerun winning 6-0. Then we missed the subway entrance on the way home and walked way to far. Good day!
Wednesday, we toured the USS Constitution and a current Navy Battleship. Then we had one last bit of clam chowder and sea food lunch and headed back to SLC!
Looks amazing! I'd love to visit Boston some day! :)
